About the Role
We are looking for a Mid-level Shopify Developer to build, customize, and maintain high-quality Shopify storefronts. You will work on both theme development and custom features, and help improve performance, UX, and conversion.
You’ll collaborate with design, product, and marketing to deliver reliable e-commerce experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS).
- Implement new pages, sections, and components based on Figma / design specs.
- Build custom features and logic (cart, checkout flow, product options, bundles, etc.).
- Integrate Shopify apps and third-party services (payment, shipping, marketing tools, analytics).
- Optimize site speed, SEO basics, accessibility, and responsive behavior.
- Troubleshoot and fix frontend / theme issues and liquid logic bugs.
- Support content / e-commerce teams with updates (collections, promotions, landing pages).
- Collaborate with designers and PMs to scope features and estimate effort.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience building storefronts on Shopify.
- Strong experience with Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 / Tailwind or SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience customizing Shopify themes (Dawn or similar) and creating reusable sections/blocks.
- Understanding of Shopify admin: products, variants, metafields, collections, discounts, etc.
- Experience with basic Shopify app setup (reviews, subscriptions, upsell, etc.).
- Good debugging skills across browsers and devices.
- Able to read requirements and deliver without heavy supervision.
Nice to Have (Plus)
- Experience with Shopify checkout extensibility / Shopify Functions.
- Experience with headless Shopify (Storefront API, Hydrogen, Next.js).
- Basic knowledge of performance tracking (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals).
- Knowledge of analytics / pixel setup (GA4, Meta Pixel, etc.).
- Experience working with REST / GraphQL APIs.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce CRO (A/B testing mindset, UX for conversion).
